Arvin Tolentino wasted no time making his presence felt in South Korea.
The newly-signed Seoul SK Knights forward erupted for 23 points and hauled down four rebounds in his first practice game with the three-time Korea Basketball League (KBL) champions against the National University Bulldogs.
The Knights formally announced Tolentino’s signing on May 30, adding the 29-year-old as their Asian import for the upcoming KBL season.
His debut couldn’t have come at a better time as the Knights gear up for another title run after finishing as runners-up to Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers last season.

Tolentino arrives in Seoul fresh off a career year in the PBA with the NorthPort Batang Pier, where he established himself as one of the league’s rising stars. He earned Best Player of the Conference honors in the Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup after averaging 23.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
His explosive scoring and versatility are expected to boost an SK Knights squad that already boasts a championship pedigree, with three KBL titles under their belt.
With Tolentino joining Tamayo and other Filipino standouts in the KBL, the upcoming season promises to be another exciting chapter for Philippine basketball fans keeping an eye on their countrymen abroad.
