The 2024 NBA Draft’s top two picks, Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr, headline a blend of rising talent and seasoned veterans as Les Bleus chase their first FIBA EuroBasket crown since 2013.
Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert may be missing, but France isn’t short on skyscrapers — just look up at Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr.
Both the no. 1 and no. 2 picks of the 2024 NBA Draft bannered Les Bleus’ official 12-man roster for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025.
Joining Risacher and Sarr are fellow NBA talents Guerschon Yabusele of the New York Knicks and Sarr’s Washington teammate Bilal Coulibaly, giving France a youthful but battle-tested core.
Completing the lineup are Isaia Cordinier, Sylvain Francisco, Jaylen Hoard, Mouhammadou Jaiteh, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Theo Maledon, Elie Okobo, and Matthew Strazel.
Left on the sidelines are Nadir Hifi and Vincent Poirier, the latter ruled out by injury, as coach Frederic Fauthoux trims his roster down to a dozen.
France have won all four of their preparation games so far in the lead-up to FIBA EuroBasket 2025, and have been in good form despite the absences of Wembanyama and Gobert.

One final test awaits against Greece next week before France makes its push for continental glory.
Runners-up in the last edition, France enters the tournament with history on its side. The nine-time medalists famously won it all in 2013, and the 2025 edition marks their 40th appearance at the flagship competition.
Drawn into Group D alongside Slovenia, Poland, Belgium, Iceland, and Israel, Les Bleus will tip off their campaign against Belgium on Friday, August 29 — the first step in what they hope will be another podium run.
