From engaging in a staredown, trading souvenirs, and even to playing a game of chess, Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao spends time with Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown during the basketball player's visit to the country.
Another year, another NBA star pays a visit to Manny Pacquiao.
This time, it’s Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown who crossed paths with the legendary Filipino boxer. The two shared moments together from engaging in a staredown to even playing a game of chess.
The 2024 Finals MVP is in the country as part of his Asian tour and made the most of his visit to Pacquiao’s house.
Brown admitted his desire to train with the only eight-division world champion in boxing history once he and Pacman see each other again.
“Maybe one day, maybe the next time I come back, I want to train (with you),” Brown said to Pacquiao.
The meeting also had both stars trade gifts as a symbol of their new-found friendship. Pacquiao received a signed pair of shoes from Brown, while the Celtics swingman got his own signed gloves from the Filipino boxing icon.
Back in 2023, four-time champion Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney paid a visit to Pacquiao, while another champion big man, Dwight Howard, linked up with the 46-year-old pugilist last year.
