Chinese Taipei remained spotless in Group D of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 after beating Gilas Pilipinas and Iraq.
It was Ting-Chien Lin’s turn to wax hot as Chinese Taipei made short work of Iraq, 87-60, in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Thursday, Aug. 7.
Over 24 hours after Ying-Chun Chen exploded for 34 points in their opening win against Gilas, Lin took over this time and fired 22 points on three triples to power his team to a 2-0 record in Group D.
He also had a rebound, two assists, a steal and a block.
In contrast, Chen wound up scoreless in more than 19 minutes of play after a blistering performance against the Filipinos.

But it was hardly a problem as help came aplenty for Thursday's hero, Lin.
Mohammad Gadiaga made up for a quiet outing against Gilas as he shot two triples on his way to 13 points for Chinese Taipei.
Adam Hinton also swished two treys for 11 points he spiked with two rebounds, an assist and a steal.

Overall, Chinese Taipei relied on its strength, going 15-for-37 from the three-point area for 40.54 percent.
But unlike their fiery start against the Filipino dribblers, the Taiwanese gained steam this time in the second half, where they outscored Iraq, 48-32.
Abdullah Hayder Alibraheemi paced the Iraqis with 20 points, seven rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Naturalized player Demario Mayfield added 11 points, two rebounds and two assists.
Iraq remained winless in two games in the continental meet.
Chinese Taipei will go for a sweep of the group phase but will have to go through New Zealand Sunday, Aug. 10. (Manila time)
