SCHEDULE, RESULTS | Filipinas eye title defense at 2025 ASEAN Women's MSIG Serenity Cup

The Philippine Women's National Football Team is looking to make history by defending their ASEAN Women's Championship title as they compete in the MSIG Serenity Cup in Vietnam from August 6 to 19.

The Filipinas made history by clinching their first-ever trophy in 2022, when the tournament was then known as the AFF Women's Championship. It was made even special by the PWNFT winning at home.

They will aim to become the first Philippine team to clinch back-to-back titles, a feat last achieved by Thailand—who had a three-peat in 2015, 2016, and 2018.

However, it won't be the same for the Filipinas as they are fielding a considerably younger squad. A significant number of players from 2022 were not able to suit up as the tournament is outside the FIFA window. World Cup hero Sarina Bolden is also still recovering from an injury.

FORMAT

• The eight teams are divided into two groups of four.
• Teams in each group play against each other in a single round robin.
• The top two teams advance to the crossover knockout stage, starting with the semifinals.
• There will also be a single knockout game for the title match and the third place match.
