Mojave King turned in 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block, while Tohi Smith-Milner added 13 points and five boards for the Tall Blacks, who outgunned Iraq, 37-17, in the fourth period.
New Zealand pulled away halfway through the said period after peppering Iraq from all fronts to deliver a 17-5 closing blow.
Diar Ahmed Abdul Allah Abdul Allah paced Iraq with 19 points.
Thulfiqar Hammoodi had 15 points, four rebounds, and two assists for the Iraqis, who showed a lot of promise after a strong 27-18 second quarter for a 43-42 lead at the break.
But things gradually spiralled for the middle eastern nation, whose naturalized player Demario Mayfield was limited to just nine points on 3-of-10 shooting from the field.
New Zealand will try to keep a spotless record when it faces Gilas next on August 7.
