New Zealand looks to improve on its bronze medal finish in 2022 as it braces for battle in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Since joining the FIBA Asia Cup in 2017, New Zealand has yet to reach the gold medal match.
They have another shot at it this year as they aim to improve on their bronze medal finish in the 2022 edition of the continental meet in Jakarta.
The Kiwis last drubbed Gilas Pilipinas, 87-70, in the qualifiers last February in Auckland.
Notably missing from their lineup in the 2025 Asia Cup are Corey Webster and Reuben Te Rangi.
But the Tall Blacks remain formidable with guys like Tohi Smith-Milner, Jordan Ngatai and two-time NBL champion Jordan Hunt.
