LIST: Teams qualified for EASL 2025-2026 season

The East Asia Super League (EASL) has confirmed most of the participating teams for its 2025–26 season, bringing together the best of Asia’s domestic basketball champions and top contenders for what promises to be another exciting year of elite competition.

The EASL will once again feature powerhouse clubs from Chinese Taipei, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Hong Kong, and Macau, along with two representatives from the Philippines to be announced soon.

Here’s the full list of teams qualified:


Chinese Taipei (3 Teams)

- Taoyuan Pauian Pilots – 2024–25 P. League+ Champion

- Taipei Fubon Braves – 2024–25 P. League+ Runner-up

New Taipei Kings – 2024–25 TPBL Champion

Japan (3 Teams)

- Utsunomiya Brex – 2024–25 B.League Champion

- Ryukyu Golden Kings – 2024–25 B.League Runner-up

Alvark Tokyo – 2025 Emperor’s Cup Runner-up

South Korea (2 Teams)

- Changwon LG Sakers – 2024–25 Korean Basketball League Champion

- Seoul SK Knights – 2024–25 Korean Basketball League Runner-up

Both KBL teams will feature a Pinoy import, with Carl Tamayo spearheading the charge for the LG Sakers, and Arvin Tolentino making his mark for the SK Knights.

Mongolia

- Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos – 2024–25 The League Champion

Hong Kong

- Hong Kong Eastern – A1 Division Championship Participant

Macau

- Macau Black Bears

NOTE: Macau and Hong Kong will once again be represented by one team each in the upcoming EASL season.

Philippines (2 Teams)

TBA – Expected to be the PBA Commissioner's Cup and Philippine Cup champions


With 12 elite teams, the upcoming season promises another round of high-level basketball action featuring former NBA players, local stars, and international standouts. The EASL format will include a home-and-away group stage followed by the Final Four, with the champion taking home $1 million in prize money.

The 2025-26 season is expected to start in September 2025, with the official schedule and opening match to be announced soon.
