The Crown Jewel of Nine ball is coming to Cignal TV.

The prestigious World Pool Championship, set this July 21 to 26 at the iconic Green Halls in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be broadcasted live on One Sports+ and Pilipinas Live, with catchup viewing available on One Sports.

Top cue masters Johann Chua, Carlo Biado, and Rubilen Amit banner a strong Filipino delegation aiming to seek glory in the world’s richest nine ball tournament featuring the top 128 players around the globe.

Chua made it to the semifinals last year, while Biado is determined to recapture the throne he won back in 2017.

Also representing the Philippines in the world stage are James Aranas, Bernie Regalario, Jefrey Roda, Patric Gonzales, and AJ Manas, among others as they take their shot at winning the coveted trophy and the $250,000 top prize.

Fedor Gorst is determined to win back-to-back crowns after winning the World Pool Championship in the same grounds last year.

But hot on his heels are Joshua Filler of Germany, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz of Spain, Jayson Shaw of Great Britain, Aloysius Yapp of Singapore, brothers Ko Pin Yi and Ko Ping Chung of Chinese Taipei, and the legend Shane Van Boening of the USA.

"Today, billiards and snooker are rising alongside other sports that are experiencing unprecedented growth and transformation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The empowerment of the Saudi Federation and the support of the Ministry of Sport are a true testament to the capabilities and readiness of Saudi talents to host world-class championships—not only in billiards and snooker, but across all fields,” said Naif Al-jawini, President of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation.

“The long-term impact of these events will be significant for future generations. What we are witnessing today is a remarkable harmony and a unique model in the region,” Al-jawini added.

“The 2025 World Pool Championship promises to be an extraordinary event, both on and off the table. We are proud to continue our partnership with Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Arabian Billiard & Snooker Federation,” stated Emily Frazer, Matchroom Multi-Sport CEO.

“The continued growth of pool in this region is a testament to the incredible vision and passion for sports here in the Kingdom. We look forward to working together to elevate this event and inspire the next generation of pool players worldwide," Frazer continued.

Only four Filipinos have hosted the World Pool Championship: the great Efren "Bata" Reyes in 1999, Ronnie Alcano in 2006, Francisco "Django" Bustamante in 2010, and Biado in 2017.
