Former UP big man Quentin Millora-Brown will soon share the court with Gilas Pilipinas, but first as a member of the Macau Black Bears.
UAAP champion and former UP big man Quentin Millora-Brown has signed a deal with the Macau Black Bears, the team officially announced on Sunday, July 20.
As such, QMB is slated to reinforce the team’s frontcourt when they face Gilas Pilipinas in a tuneup game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 28.
After talks of suiting up for Gilas Pilipinas since he concluded his one-and-done year in the UAAP, Millora-Brown will have to settle for being the opposition for now.
The Black Bears game will serve as the send-off for Gilas before the national team heads to Saudi Arabia for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025.
“The Macau Black Bears are proud to announce the signing of 6’10” Filipino-American forward Quentin Millora-Brown! With NCAA and UAAP experience under his belt — including stints at Vanderbilt, The Citadel, and a championship run with UP — Quentin brings elite rebounding, shot-blocking and interior toughness," the team wrote in the official announcement of QMB.
Being key to UP’s recent title run, Millora-Brown averaged 14 points, nine rebounds, and 2.3 assists in the Fighting Maroons' three-game conquest of La Salle in the UAAP Season 87 Finals last December.
He also made pivotal free throws late in Game 3 that helped decide the game and the series for the Fighting Maroons.
For Macau, the Black Bears believe Millora-Brown will bring good experience to their team, especially against the Gilas Pilipinas squad.

“He will join the team for the upcoming TAT Shanxi stop and the highly anticipated July 28 matchup against the Philippine National Team, anchoring the Black Bears’ frontcourt with strength and versatility,” they said.
Millora-Brown is set to first get his feet wet with the Black Bears at the fourth leg of The Asian Tournament in Shanxi, China.
