Two stunning three-peats headlined the final day of the 2025 Philippine Badminton Open on Saturday, July 12, at the Rizal Memorial Complex in Manila.

Mika De Guzman completed the first feat after a 21-13, 21-18 disposal of Christel Rei Fuentespina in the women’s singles event.

The PBAD Smash Pilipinas shuttler dropped only a set in the entire tournament, further cementing her place among the elite names in the country’s badminton scene.

And she wasn’t the only one celebrating a three-peat.

Lea Inlayo and Airah Albo captured their own third straight crown following a dramatic come-from-behind win against Andrea Hernandez and Mary Destiny Untal in the women’s doubles finale.

After dropping the opening set at 19-21, the tandem dug deep in the next two and sealed the championship after Hernandez committed a costly service error, 21-15, 21-16.

Furthermore, Jewel Albo successfully defended his men’s singles crown after denying top seed and rival Clarence Villaflor yet again via 21-17, 21-17 verdict.

Not to be denied are the Solomon Padiz Jr. and Julius Villabrile pair, who redeemed themselves after falling short last year--thanks to pulsating 29-27, 21-17 victory against the duo of Alvin Morada and Christian Bernardo--to take the men's doubles title home.

Finally, in the mixed doubles division, Albo and Villabrie bagged their maiden tournament title after downing the Untal-Padiz Jr. tandem in a hard-fought battle, 21-17, 18-21, 21-14.

The five title matches wrapped up a successful edition of the country’s premier badminton tournament, with veterans and young standouts alike proving the sport’s growing strength and depth in the Philippines.
