The stage is set for the grand finale of the 2025 Philippine National Badminton Open, where the nation’s finest shuttlers will fight for supremacy.

Defending champion Jewel Albo and top seed Clarence Villaflor have arranged a thrilling rematch in the men’s singles division, each overcoming their semifinal opponents with impressive performances.

Albo toppled Rabie Jayson Oba-ob in straight sets, 21-14, 21-10, while Villaflor fought through a tough battle to secure a 21-15, 14-21, 21-17 win against Mark Velasco.

In the women’s singles division, only one win separates two-time champion Mika De Guzman from a historic three-peat.

The PBAD Smash Pilipinas shuttler secured her spot in the championship round with a dominant 21-10, 21-13 victory over UP-Allied’s Patricia De Leon.

De Guzman’s opponent in the title round is Christel Rei Fuentespina, who denied last year’s runner-up Ysabel Amora a chance at redemption with a dramatic 19-21, 21-18, 21-14 comeback.

In women’s doubles, defending champions Lea Inlayo and Nicole Albo secured their second consecutive trip to the gold medal round after fending off Anthea Marie Gonzales and Kimberly Lao in straight sets, 21-7, 21-18.

They will face Andrea Hernandez and Mary Destiny Untal, who dominated Althea Dawn Ocampo and Jochelle Alvarez with a commanding 21-8, 21-10 victory.

The men’s doubles final is also set with Solomon Padiz Jr. and Julius Villabrille looking to redeem themselves after falling short last year.

They finished off Michael Adrian Clemente and Mohammad Jalmer Amerodin, setting up an intriguing clash with the unseeded Alvin Morada and Christian Bernardo.

In mixed doubles, Nicole Albo and Villabrille moved closer to their first-ever title following an impressive 21-13, 21-12 win over Joella Geva De Vera and Christian Bernardo.

Awaiting them in the final are the Untal-Padiz Jr. duo, who dispatched Charles Bagasbas and Althea Rio Fuentespina via a tight 21-17, 21-18 decision.

Catch all the action on the final day of the 2025 Philippine National Badminton Open on Saturday, July 12, starting 12:00 p.m. on One Sports, One Sports+, and the Pilipinas Live app.
