Undefeated La Salle and rising University of Santo Tomas collide for the top spot in the UAAP Bracket as they cap the eliminations of the PlayTime Cares 18th Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup presented by ABC Tile Adhesive on Wednesday.

It's going to be a banger finish to the premier preseason league with the 4:00 p.m. clash between the Green Archers (5-0) and Growling Tigers (4-1) serving as the main event in the quadruple-header at PlayTime Filoil Centre in San Juan.

La Salle hasn't been shy in flexing its muscles, this time with Mason Amos and Luis Pablo carrying the load in its 100-91 victory over University of the East last Sunday.

But UST is just as impressive, with Gelo Crisostomo emerging as a reliable offensive option as seen in its 71-65 win over UE last July 2.

The winner of the game will draw NCAA 4-seed Arellano in the crossover quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, the loser takes on no. 3 Emilio Aguinaldo College in the final eight of this tilt which has PlayTime Cares, Filoil, EcoOil, Hanes, Bostik El Heneral, Jiang Nan Hotpot, Lamtex Pipes, Smart, and Puso Pilipinas as major sponsors, and Harbor Star, Wallem, Akari, BDO, Tela.com Athletics, Nature’s Spring, Reyes Barbecue, and Brothers Burger as minor sponsors.

Letran and St. Benilde also have the same goal of claiming the no. 1-seed in the NCAA Bracket when they play different foes to end their respective campaigns.

The Knights (7-1) want to continue their five-game win run when they take on rival San Beda (4-4) at 12:00 p.m., while the Blazers (7-1) lock horns against skidding LPU (1-7) at 10:00 a.m.

Titing Manalili and Jimboy Estrada have proven to be a dependable 1-2 punch for Letran and what better way to cement that status than winning over San Beda.

But somehow, Benilde is rooting for the Red Lions while also banking on Tony Ynot and Ian Torres to get the job done against the Pirates.

Waiting for the NCAA Bracket top seed will be UAAP no. 4 National University, while the no. 2 seed in the group meets UAAP no. 3 University of the Philippines.

The Fighting Maroons (3-2) will end their campaign against also-ran Adamson (1-4) at 2:00 p.m.
