Ray Parks Jr. remains quiet on his next move, whether its re-signing with Osaka Evessa or finding a new team in the Japan B.LEAGUE.
Fresh off his fourth year in Japan, Ray Parks Jr. is back in the Philippines with plenty to think about, both as a father and a professional athlete.
Parks averaged 13.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game this past Japan B.LEAGUE season with the Osaka Evessa. Despite his steady contributions, Osaka narrowly missed the playoffs with a 29-31 record.

But with the season now behind him, the 31-year-old Parks is free to choose his next move.
“They haven’t announced me signing or anything like that yet, right? I think we’re still up on negotiations,” Parks shared during the B.LEAGUE Final Week in Manila.
“I can’t just announce certain things for next year. It’s still up in the air. Right now, I’m just focused on my family and got big things coming up.”

One of those "big things" was a basketball clinic he hosted at the Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City as part of the league’s “B. Hope Asia Junior Clinic.”
Parks' young son Lucas even joined the session, which brought together aspiring athletes for a day of skills-building and fun.

While he holds off on confirming his next stop, Parks expressed gratitude for his journey in Japan so far.
“You gotta give it to the B.LEAGUE,” he said. “They have a formula. They’re giving equal opportunities to everybody, and you see what they’re doing in FIBA, so they’re doing something right.”
“I’m really grateful for the B.LEAGUE. It’s good for the next generation to be able to travel and see Japan, see other countries. The game of basketball is really international.”
The B.LEAGUE Finals week will be capped off by the championship series between Utsunomiya Brex and Ryukyu Golden Kings later this weekend.
