Filipino-American Muay Thai rising star Sean Climaco looks for his second straight win in ONE when he takes on Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan at ONE 168: Denver.
The Philippines will see one of its own on the global stage when ONE Championship returns to the United States in September for the first of its two shows out west.
Filipino-American Muay Thai rising star Sean Climaco looks for his second straight win in ONE when he takes on Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan at ONE 168: Denver inside Ball Arena on September 7.
Climaco had a debut to remember when he knocked out Josue Cruz at ONE Fight Night 22 in May, etching his name into the loaded flyweight Muay Thai division currently ruled by Rodtang Jitmunangnon.
After shining in his last fight, Climaco continued the brilliant rise of Filipino-American striking stars in the promotion, following in the footsteps of Jackie Buntan and Eddie Abasolo as the fighters carrying the Pinoy flag.
He’ll have his hands full against Estupinan though.
Estupinan scored a first-round KO in his debut when he knocked out Kouta Omori, before piling on his win count by outclassing Zafer Sayik via decision in their clash.
A win for either men could see them move up the flyweight division, which – aside for Rodtang – includes the likes of ONE Flyweight Kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, the always-dangerous Denis Puric, and the surging Dedduanglek TDed99.
At ONE 168: Denver, the pair will join the best Muay Thai strikers in the world. Two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty defends his bantamweight Muay Thai strap against the aforementioned Superlek.
Also on the card is the long-awaited clash between two Muay Thai legends in Liam Harrison and Seksan Or Kuanmuang, who meet in a 140-pound catchweight bout.
