Justin Brownlee and Pelita Jaya would not be denied this time.
Brownlee responded in the biggest way possible to help the Pelita Jaya to a bounce-back 97-90 stunner over Iranian powerhouse team Shahrdary Gorgan. The Indonesian squad keeps its semifinal hopes alive in the Basketball Champions League Asia (BCL Asia).
The Gilas Pilipinas mainstay registered 32 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals, a day after getting blown out in the BCL Asia debut against the B1 champions Hiroshima Dragonflies, to power his team to win number one in Group B.
Brownlee and Co. can advance to semifinals with a win over the still winless KBL champions Busan KCC Egis (0-2) or a Hiroshima win over Shahrdary Gorgan.
