And it’s this cohesion in which the Zamboangas are banking on ahead of the biggest fight of Denice’s career.
“Iba pa rin yung bond naming mag-kapatid kasi very familiar na kami sa isa’t isa,” said the elder Zamboanga as he shared tidbits of their preparations at the T-Rex MMA Gym.

“Maganda yung flow ng training namin at nasusunod naman yung mga dapat naming gawin in preparation para sa fight nya. She trains very hard,” he said.
And it also fuels Drex to share Denice’s dreams all the more as they’ve gone through the trenches not just from childhood, but even when they waded through the pandemic training in Thailand with Marrok Force MMA Gym.
“Nung nagkasama kami sa Thailand for two years, mas naramdaman ko yung affection ko sa kanya dahil nakita ko talaga yung sipag ng sariling kapatid ko,” he said.
“And now na ako na mismo yung nagte-train sa kanya, mas nakikita ko yung desire niya na manalo kaya talagang gusto ko din na manalo siya sa laban na ito.”
As much as Drex would like to keep cards close to his chest, he couldn’t help but share his excitement.
“Mas lumakas at naging sharp na yung striking nya at mas nagiging well rounded na siya ngayon kaya kailangan niyo siyang abangan,” he said.
