Three seasons in Japan, three playoff appearances for Ray Parks Jr. with the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins.

Following a dominant 93-63 win over the Shimane Susanoo Magic Saturday, the Diamond Dolphins clinch their spot for the 2024 B.League playoffs.

It’s the third-straight playoff appearance for Nagoya, and fifth overall in eight B1 seasons.

Parks Jr. had 11 points and six rebounds in Saturday’s win over the Magic, marking a relatively strong weekend. He had 12 points and four rebounds in Friday’s victory.

The Diamond Dolphins are 37-19 with four games left in the regular season, trailing defending B1 champion Ryukyu for the Western Conference championship.

The Golden Kings need only three wins to wrap up the conference championship, but next week’s two-game set against Nagoya will be key to deciding who gets homecourt advantage for round 1.

While Parks Jr. and the Dolphins are headed to a third-straight postseason appearance, this season marks their strongest push after injuries derailed any chance of making playoff noise in 2022 and 2023.

With a full complement of players, Nagoya has won nine of its last 11 games heading into the final two weekends of the B1 regular season.
