Two-time TVL champion Bryan Bagunas shares his excitement towards the hosting of the Philippines in the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship.
Fresh from his second-straight TVL championship in Taiwan, Bryan Bagunas returns home to Philippine soil.
The sky-soaring MVP had his debut game in the Cignal HD Spikers Wednesday against the Philippine Air Force Airmen in the 2024 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference, winning in straight sets.
Fueled by hometown pride, Bazooka Bryan is also setting his sights on the grand stage of 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship, which the Philippines will host.
“Sobrang saya ko kasi dito gaganapin ‘yong 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship, and kasali pa ‘yong Philippine men’s volleyball team,” he shared to One Sports.
While there is no guaranteed line-up yet for the upcoming FIVB worlds according to head coach Sergio Veloso, Bryan should be among the favorites to make it to the men's national volleyball team, given his extensive experience and list of accomplishments.
The Filipino volleyball phenom also lauds the effort of the volleyball community, who certain fueled this opportunity to happen for the men’s national volleyball team.
“Syempre, sobrang nakakatuwa and talagang pinapakita na nandoon ‘yong suporta para sa men’s national volleyball team. And nandoon, ‘yong support ng Cignal and ng national team, para mas mapaangat ang men’s volleyball [team],” said Bryan.
