Ara Galang has made a name for herself as a calm and quick-witted scorer.

And the seasoned hitter has been everything the Chery Tiggo Crossovers had hoped for when they picked up her services in the wake of F2 Logistics' disbandment.

"Ano lang, superb eh parang gan'un ang dating. Despite na alam mo ng age is just a number, pero yung volleyball IQ, decision making, talagang ano lang, wala na akong masabi," Chery Tiggo head coach Kungfu Reyes said of the 29-year-old Galang.

"Talagang seasoned player, champion player, coming from a great coach, so what do you expect. Talagang great player din."

This was evident throughout Chery Tiggo's PNVF Champions League stint, where Galang displayed her veteran smarts and served as a steady source of offense for the youthful Crossovers.

With the help of the 5-foot-7 hitter, the Crossovers had emerged victorious in four out of their six matches to finish the tournament in third place.

The former De La Salle standout even played a crucial role in the bronze-medal match, pummeling 10 points in a straight-set drubbing of the College of Saint Benilde.

For Galang, she is eager to embrace the responsibilities of being a veteran in a team teeming with youthful talents.

"Siguro mas magiging reliable ako not just in points pero syempre sa lahat ng skills and sa pagiging veteran ko pipilitin kong dapat maaasahan nila ako," she bared.

Galang also offered gratitude to her new teammates for welcoming her with open arms.

"Masaya. Hindi ako nahihirapan in terms of pakikisama and nageenjoy ako every time na nakakasama ko sila sa training and game. So far so good," she gushed.

As the Crossovers shift their focus to the PVL All-Filipino Conference, which goes into full swing on February 20, Galang hopes that they would carry their gains and continue to improve from hereon out.

"Masaya rin kahit papaano marami kaming natutunan dito bago mag PVL hopefully ma-polish pa namin yung mga galaw namin and mas magwork as a team," she expressed.
