Who would have thought that basketball and bowling would make for an awesome crossover?
TNT Tropang Giga’s Kelly Williams expressed his admiration upon meeting a certain legend, none other than bowling icon Rafael “Paeng” Nepomuceno.
In an Instagram post, Kelly wrote about how his Philippine experience is “complete” as he finally met Paeng after 19 years of bowling in Manila.
Nepomuceno wrote, "Mabuhay idol Kelly!" in response to William's Instagram photo."
Williams was the first pick of the Sta. Lucia in the 2006 PBA Draft and is an eight-time champion in his time with the Realtors and TNT. Kelly was also the 2008 PBA Most Valuable Player.
Nepomuceno is among the greatest bowlers in the world, if not the greatest. Paeng is a six-time World Champion and bowling Hall of Famer.
A true crossover of legends indeed.
