The Thunder Kid changes zip code for now.
As the new year looms, Lito Adiwang has made a big move.
Well, literally.
Still without a fight in the wings, the “Thunder Kid” is set to move to Bali, Indonesia, and train under the Soma Fight Club banner.
“I’m moving to Bali. Nakapag-set na ako to join them and really represent Soma,” said Adiwang, who finds a new home after leaving Team Lakay.

As with any big decision, this one will come with some adjustments. But he’s unperturbed.
After all, Adiwang has seen growth as far as his skills are concerned under Soma, none more evident in the unanimous win over Jeremy Miado last month.
And he looks to get better as he awaits his next challenger in the hopes of making the top five of the ONE Athlete Rankings in the strawweight division.
“I look at the bright side. Mahirap, pero na-challenge ako sa trainings namin na naka-train ako with iba’t ibang athletes, nakasalamuha ako ng international coaches na natulungan ako from strikes, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and really taught me new things. ‘Yun talaga yung positive sa ginawa ko,” he said.
Now he looks forward to 2024 with hopes that he will be able to reach greater heights.
“Ang ie-expect natin is sa 2024, I’m giving my all here. Wala akong pina-promise pero expect that I’ll give my all every time inside the ring,” he said.
“Hindi ko lang chine-chase ‘yung panalo but I want to give an entertaining fight.”
