12.12 may be checkout day for a lot of people, but 11.12 was a lot more special for Nakhon Ratchasima's Ced Domingo.
It was the birthday of Yuki Ishikawa, an outside hitter of the Japan men's volleyball team. Of course, Domingo jokingly referred to him as "husband."
Wonder how many wifeys greeted Yuki on his 28th birthday?
Domingo had the chance to snap a photo with Ishikawa when the Volleyball Nations League returned to Manila last June.
And the good news is, Ced might meet her "husband" again next year.
Japan will be coming back to the Philippines in June as VNL 2024 will make a Manila stop. Other destinations include the United States, Iran, Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, France, and Canada.

In the meantime, the 24-year-old Domingo is also learning some life lessons as she continues her career in Thailand. Her post on Instagram on Monday especially hits right in the heart as it talked about one's circle.
"The older you get, the more you realize you don't need unnecessary company," Domingo posted.
"Don't force vibes. Go where your energy is loved, welcomed, and respected. Life brings enough anxiety as it is, the people with whom you are choosing to surround yourself should not be part of it. Invest in people who make you feel home," she added.
"For home is not a place, but a person and frequency."
Meanwhile, her former club Creamline Cool Smashers are back in the finals of the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference—their 10th overall finals appearance and sixth in the All-Filipino.
They await the winner between the Choco Mucho Flying Titans and the Cignal HD Spikers, who will battle in a do-or-die Game 3 in the semifinals later at the PhilSports Arena.
It will be aired live at 6 p.m. on One Sports, One Sports+, and the Pilipinas Live app.
