Filipinas jack of all trades Reina Bonta reached a new milestone on Sunday.

In an Instagram post, Bonta announced her award-winning short film, LAHI, is officially streaming. The movie can be streamed through Electric Now.

“Throughout its lifetime, LAHI has been accepted into 10 incredible film festivals, shared its story about Filipino identity and reconnection across the nation, picked up an award or two, and now to cap it all off…is free and accessible to our audiences,” the filmmaker wrote in the caption of the said post.

Her teammates were as supportive as ever, of course.

“What a boss,” said Quinley Quezada.

In a previous interview, the Film and Media Studies graduate from Yale University said the movie was “rooted in something that’s real, in our family stories.”

“We grew up in a multi-generational home like the most Filipino thing ever and she (grandmother) taught me so much about her experience living in the Philippines and the traditions that come along with being a Filipina-American,” she said in an interview with Kampai Sugai

That being said, she also made special mention of her grandmother, who traced her roots to Dumaguete City.

“Forever grateful for the life lessons this special project gifted me and for the communities, friends, and family that made it all possible,” she said.

“And as always, sending the greatest thank you of all to my beautiful Lola and her story.”
