Training for a race car driver goes beyond speeding along the track.
Filipina racecar driver Bianca Bustamante still can't believe she's now a part of the British racing organization McLaren.
She shared her disbelief as she worked out in the gym.
"Felt really good today training in my McLaren shirt hihihihi still take double looks in the mirror if it’s really me wearing the shirt😭😭😭," she shared via Instagram reels.
In the same video, Bustamante shared how hard it is training for the Macau Grand Prix and it's pretty impressive. Bianca showed videos of doing lifts, push-ups, and sit-ups at the gym. No wonder her arms are awe-worthy.
"If life was a movie, it would be 60% training videos. Tons of hard work behind the scenes as we soon head to Macau. I’m ready for this challenge both mentally and physically! It’ll be tough one but WE got this," she shared.
The famed F1 team signed up Bustamante to be part of their Driver Development programme.
It's part of the Filipina driver's stunning career growth after she won a race with Italian squad Prema at the F1 Academy. Now, she will be racing at the Macau Grand Prix as part of China/Hong Kong-based BlackArts Racing in Formula 4.
"Growing up in Asia, it was always one of the most iconic tracks, known to be really fast, narrow, challenging, and extremely unforgiving. I grew up racing karts in Macau, but to finally take on the Guia Circuit is another check on my list," she wrote.
Good luck, Bianca!
