Stephen Loman will also take on a dangerous foe in the bantamweight division.
Eduard Folayang is wary of Amir Khan ahead of their bout in ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs Ham on September 30 in Singapore.
Folayang said Khan has improved as far as maturity is concerned since he scored a unanimous decision against the latter in 2018.
“Looking at him sa mga previous fights niya, nakikita ko ‘yung pagbabago sa galaw niya. His mental aspect, nag-iba na rin kasi nagkapamilya na siya so there’s maturity sa emotional aspect sa kagustuhan niya sa pag-achieve ng goals niya,” he said.
That’s why the two-time ONE lightweight world champion is not taking Khan lightly, and he is putting in the work day in and day out.
“Hindi naman natin minamaliit 'yung talent niya,” said the Lions Nation boss.
He added: “We’re preparing well, and I know he’ll be doing a lot in this upcoming fight so we’re not taking him lightly.”
Meanwhile, the legendary Folayang is not the only Filipino fighting in that card at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The highly regarded Stephen Loman will take on John Lineker in what figures to be another must-watch fight. And neither will it be easy for Loman as Lineker is battle-tested and is one of ONE's better fighters.
But, like Folayang, Loman is putting in the work to get him ready for what is arguably a big challenge.
The question now is whether Folayang and Loman can go 2-0 in Singapore.
