Eight players from the NU Lady Bulldogs will bolster the team.
The Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) is planting the seeds now in the hopes of getting better results in international competitions in the future.
This after PNVF decided to send young volleybelles in the trenches when the Southeast Asia Volleyball kicks off this weekend in Vietnam.
NU Lady Bulldogs stars Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon will banner the young squad seen as “investment for the future of the national team program.”
“We are confident in the capability of these young stars seen as the future of Philippine volleyball,” said PNVF president Ramon “Tatz” Suzara in a statement.
Six other Lady Bulldogs will bolster the squad in the regional competition namely: Camille Lamina, Shaira Jardio, Minierva Maaya, Evangeline Alinsug, Erin Pangilinan, and Myrtle Escanlar.
Completing the lineup to be handled by Brazilian coach Jorge Souza de Brito are Ateneo Blue Eagles’ Roma Doromal and AC Miner, UP Lady Maroons’ Niña Ytang and Kamille Cal, and newbies Arah Panique and Abegail Pono.
The team will face Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia in the tournament.
