Fans not happy as Ricci Rivero pleads for respect amid split rumor with Andrea Brillantes

A lengthy tweet from Ricci Rivero seemingly confirmed rumors that he and actress Andrea Brillantes have parted ways.

“I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there was no need to add up to what we're going through,” Rivero said.

 “Please respect our decision to keep it to ourselves so that we can preserve what’s left of our friendship."

Ricci and Andrea's relationship became official when the hooper publicly asked the actress to be her girlfriend during a basketball game in 2022.

Now, Rivero is in hot water after netizens accused him of having a third party. And the statement Rivero put out didn’t sit well with a lot of Brillantes’ fans.

Rivero did not acknowledge any of the allegations, but asked for the "false accusations" to stop.

 “I hope let’s stop creating your own versions and dragging other characters into these false accusations,” Rivero responded.

 The former UP Fighting Maroon ended his statement with an apology and a request for healing.

 “I am sorry for whatever disappointment it may have caused you. For everyone’s peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain.”
