Hours before Anyang KGC’s crucial Game 6 versus the Seoul SK Knights in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) finals, Filipino import Rhenz Abando received a timely visit from his former team, the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights.

In a Facebook post, Anyang shared that the Knights made their way to the Jamsil Student Gym, where Game 6 will be held. There, Abando was spotted taking pictures with his former coaches and teammates.

Abando was instrumental in Letran’s second title in 2021, being named NCAA MVP and Rookie of the Year. The Knights, meanwhile, are coming off a successful three-peat bid in the NCAA, beating the College of Saint Benilde Blazers in the finals of Season 98.

With his former team watching, Abando and the rest of Anyang will hope to extend the series a force a Game 7 after faltering in Game 5, 66-60.

The KBL dunk king has been having a stellar finals prior to his Game 5 performance, which saw the former Letran star limited to just 4 points on a dismal 2-of-12 shooting.

Anyang will also look to add another trophy to their collection after winning the EASL Champions Week title, where they defeated the SK Knights.

Game 6 of the KBL finals is set later at 5 p.m., Manila time.
