The Philippine women's national volleyball team (PWNVT) is off to Japan for a 15-day training camp, which is part of their preparations for the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia next month.

Before leaving the country on Thursday, some national team members made sure to capture the moment on their social media accounts.

Creamline Cool Smashers' Tots Carlos posted a photo of her with seatmates Mylene Paat of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, Cherry Nunag of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, and national team captain and her Creamline teammate Alyssa Valdez.

Another Cool Smasher in Ced Domingo, who was missing from the PWNVT’s team photo earlier in the week, also uploaded a photo of her waiting for their flight.

Creamline's Jia De Guzman, on the other hand, took a picture with Cignal HD Spiker Glaudine Troncoso. Newly-added national team member Bang Pineda of the Akari Chargers also posted a photo with Troncoso.

Two more Cool Smashers in the national team, Michele Gumabao and Jema Galanza, also made sure to update their social media followers while seemingly poking fun at their Creamline teammate Ella De Jesus. It must be an inside joke.

The women's national team will make Himeji City their home from April 13 to April 28. During their stay, they will engage in friendly matches with Japan V.League team Victorina Himeji.

The Filipina spikers seek a podium finish in this year's SEA Games to break the 18-year medal drought in indoor volleyball. They finished fourth among five teams in the 2021 edition.
