Filipina hooper Jack Animam began the French stop of her career with Toulouse Metropole Basket last January. Two months later, she transferred to the second division of the Ligue Feminine de Basketball to play for USO Mondeville Basket.

It was a good move on the part of Animam as she’s become a steady contributor off the bench for her new squad.

Along with the relative success she’s found with Mondeville, the 6-foot-3 pivot appears to be having the time of her life, living in one of the most beautiful places on earth in Paris, France.

Here she is living up her dream while using the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.

Being away from home and having to deal with the grind of playing pro ball in a foreign land, the pride of Malolos, Bulacan considers long walks in the backroads of the historic city as a therapeutic activity. The picturesque scenery around Paris is practically her stress reliever.

Mondeville has won all three of their games since fielding Animam. Against Basket Club Montbrison Feminin, the Gilas mainstay tallied 8 points, 5 boards, and 2 steals in 14 minutes. Her most recent performance saw her chip in 4 markers, a rebound, and an assist as her crew defeated Feytiat Basket 87, 54-52.

Animam's squad is currently ranked tenth in the Ligue Feminine 2 de Basketball with a 9-10 win-loss record. Bank on the Filipino import to just get better as she gets more and more comfortable with her new environment.
