Kim Mangrobang wants to go home immediately after a forgettable event.
Kim Mangrobang has practically breathed and lived triathlon almost her entire life. But she wouldn't have expected this wild and scary experience in Chile.
In an Instagram Story, the five-time SEA Games gold medalist shared that she and her teammates were robbed while sleeping.
"Kagabi habang tulog kami ng mga teammates ko, pinasok kami ng magnanakaw sa bahay namin sa Chile," Mangrobang's post said. "Dami kong experience sa triathlon pero isa sa pinaka-wild 'to."
Mangrobang said their gears and gadgets were stolen, although there are more pressing concerns in the robbery.
"Napapalitan lahat pero 'yung scary is nakapasok siya sa bahay namin [nang] tulog kami," she said. "Gusto ko na umuwi."
Despite the terrible experience, Mangrobang's journey in the 2023 Americas Triathlon Cup and South American Championships Villarrica continues. The Pinay standout initially shared she finished 16th to start the race.
