Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser completed the Gilas Pilipinas lineup for the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. He joins Justin Brownlee, Ray Parks, Matthew Wright, and Thirdy Ravena in the Philippines’ title defense.
For years, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser had been yearning for another opportunity to don the Gilas Pilipinas jersey again.
So when the opportunity did come this 2025, Ganuelas-Rosser couldn’t help but be grateful.
“Super excited to be a part of Gilas again,” the TNT star forward, who is part of the lineup for the Southeast Asian Games in December, told One Sports.
“I wasn’t sure another opportunity would come along so I’m thankful to have this chance to go to Thailand and try and win gold again for the Philippines.”

Two years ago, Ganuelas-Rosser helped the national team reclaim glory, winning gold against a heavily reinforced home team in Cambodia.
The PBA Press Corps Comeback Player of the Year was playing for then Gilas coach and his TNT mentor Chot Reyes.
Now it will be under coach Norman Black, who will be at Gilas’ helm for the multi-sport spectacle in Bangkok.
Black is an 11-time PBA champion — including a Grand Slam with San Miguel in 1989 — and five-time UAAP champion coach.
He last mentored Meralco before being appointed as consultant in 2023 as Luigi Trillo assumed his previous position.
The 6-foot-6 Ganuelas-Rosser can’t wait to learn the ropes from a coach of Black’s caliber.
“I’m looking forward to learning from help and giving him my all. Whatever he needs from me I’ll try me best to help the team,” he said.
Ganuelas-Rosser is a valuable addition for the Gilas team that already features Justin Brownlee, Ange Kouame, Matthew Wright, Ray Parks, Remy Martin, Jason Brickman, Dave Ildefonso, and Veejay Pre.
Black also revealed the addition of Thirdy Ravena, along with UAAP stars Michael Phillips and Kymani Ladi, to the lineup that will look to defend the Philippines title in Bangkok.

Like most sportswriters, Jan Ballesteros once dreamed of becoming a professional hooper. But he learned the hard way that it’s not for everyone.
He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
