Gilas Pilipinas moved up from 9th in 2022 to 7th place in the 2025 edition of the FIBA Asia Cup.
Following the conclusion of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, Gilas Pilipinas officially moved two spots from their previous finish in 2022.
Gilas Pilipinas are 7th place for the 2025 edition of the FIBA Asia Cup, up from 9th place three years ago.
The jump comes as the Philippines made the quarterfinals this time, despite playing through a similarly-challenging campaign as 2022.

Gilas escaped group elimination with a big win over Iraq, then outlasted host Saudi Arabia in overtime to advance in the knockout rounds.
However, Gilas Pilipinas were bounced in the quarterfinals by Australia, who eventually won the tournament for the third straight time.

China and Iran won silver and bronze, respectively, both only losing to Australia.
New Zealand finished fourth, down from third in 2022. Also dropping places was Lebanon, who went from 2nd to 8th.
South Korea stayed steady at 6th, while Chinese Taipei moved from 10th in 2022 to 5th place in 2025.
Completing the final standings from 9th to 16th are Japan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Guam, Qatar, Iraq, India, and Syria.
