The 2025 FIBA Asia Cup marks another major test for Gilas Men as they aim to build on their success from the previous FIBA windows and improve on their ninth-place finish back in 2022.

Gilas is set to play an exhibition match against Jordan on August 2, just three days before kicking off its Asia Cup campaign versus Chinese Taipei.

Also in Group D are New Zealand and Iraq. The top team after the single round robin will secure a direct quarterfinal berth, while the second and third ranked squads will battle in the crossover playoffs.
