SCHEDULE, RESULTS | Gilas Pilipinas compete at 2025 FIBA Asia Cup

Gilas Pilipinas compete in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup from August 5 to 17.

The Philippines, which finished ninth in 2022, will be aiming to improve their standings without big man Kai Sotto.

The Filipinos will also be using the tournament as a continued build-up for the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and the Southeast Asian Games.

FORMAT

• Teams have been divided into four groups of four. The Philippines is in Group D with Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, and Iraq.
• All teams play each other in a single round-robin. The top team earns an outright quarterfinals berth. The second and third ranked squads compete in a crossover playoff.
• The winner of C2 vs D3 will meet the Group A leader, the winner of D2 vs C3 will take on the Group B leader, the winner of A2 vs B3 will face the Group C leader, while the winner of B2 vs A3 will play against the Group D leader.
• The quarterfinals, semifinals, battle for third, and the final will be contested via single knockout games.
