Gilas Pilipinas will aim to improve their ninth place standing in 2022, as the Filipinos will soon fly to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the 2025 edition of the FIBA Asia Cup.
Gilas Pilipinas will be competing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup from August 5 to 17.
The Philippines, which finished ninth in 2022, will be aiming to improve their standings without big man Kai Sotto.
The Filipinos will also be using the tournament as a continued build-up for the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and the Southeast Asian Games.

Teams have been divided into four groups of four. The Philippines is in Group D with Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, and Iraq.
- All teams play each other in a single round-robin. The top team earns an outright quarterfinals berth. The second and third ranked squads compete in a crossover playoff.
- The winner of C2 vs D3 will meet the Group A leader, the winner of D2 vs C3 will take on the Group B leader, the winner of A2 vs B3 will face the Group C leader, while the winner of B2 vs A3 will play against the Group D leader.
- The quarterfinals, semifinals, battle for third, and the final will be contested via single knockout games.
