Gilas Pilipinas is stepping into a new era with fresh uniforms that honor tradition while embracing bold design—just in time for a packed international schedule this July and August.
With history stitched into every seam and pride across the chest, Gilas Pilipinas steps onto the world stage in a bold new look—and a unified identity.
For the first time in over two decades, the Philippine national basketball teams have introduced fresh official uniforms that will be worn across all Gilas squads—including Men’s, Women’s, Youth, 3x3, 5x5, and eFIBA—both on and off the court.
The kits were formally unveiled during a send-off event at Monarch Manila in Makati, setting the stage for a packed international calendar beginning this July.
A Quiet tease, a loud return
Back in May, the transformation was quietly teased with a social media post that featured the word “Magpakitang” painted across a basketball court, captioned: “adidas 🤝 @samahangbasketbolngpilipinas.”
It marked the soft launch of a multi-year partnership, rekindling a relationship that last flourished in the early 2000s.
One uniform, all Gilas teams
As part of this renewed collaboration, adidas will outfit all levels of the Gilas program—from elite to grassroots, from hardwood to digital courts.
This unified look reflects not just performance goals but a cultural and visual consistency across Philippine basketball.
Design with symbolism
The new kits carry over key elements fans have come to identify with. Front and center is “PILIPINAS,” rendered in the distinct Joe College Sans NF font. The home jersey is drenched in maastricht blue—a rich, regal shade that blends intensity and poise—while the away version offers a sleek, all-white look.
On both, three vertical brick red stripes line the side panels—a modern nod to tradition, weaving together brand heritage and Filipino pride. A golden sun, lifted from the Philippine flag, is positioned on the neckline, anchoring the design in national symbolism.
Engineered for performance
Built for the demands of international play, the jerseys feature adidas’ AEROREADY technology for moisture-wicking and breathability.
The doubleknit fabric with a hydrophilic finish delivers lightweight comfort, while the use of recycled materials reflects a commitment to sustainability—ensuring performance and purpose go hand in hand.

The jersey reveal also served as the teams’ media appearance before heading off to represent the country on the international stage.
For the fans: Where and when to get it
Supporters can gear up soon. The first wave of official jerseys drops on July 26, 2025, just ahead of Gilas Men’s exhibition match against the Macau Black Bears on July 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

A wider nationwide release is set for September.
Each purchase comes with a Limited-Edition Gilas Fan Pack, which includes a drawstring bag, baller bands, a sticker set, and postcards.
Fans may also personalize their jerseys in-store with their chosen name, number, or custom message. A portion of sales will help support SBP’s grassroots programs.
