Two names that you probably won’t use in the same sentence as often. But for a time, the two were going viral on social media.
In 2017, James visited Manila for his “Strive For Greatness Show” where several known basketball hoopers were invited to play a quick game with the NBA superstar.
But what many didn’t expect was that LeBron and RDO would go viral on social media.
For that can still remember this, de Ocampo was seen trying to give James a dose of his own medicine as he attempted a chasedown block on the then-Cleveland Cavaliers superstar’s patented Statue-of-Liberty dunk.
Of course, there was no shot that de Ocampo would have blocked James—but it did make for an awesome and hilarious photo.
That’s exactly what former PBA sniper and now Cebu Vice Mayor Dondon Hontiveros recalled on his Instagram story.

Hontiveros placed a photo of James’ recent viral dunking photo where his teammate D'Angelo Russell was spotted mimicking the dunk. But just below that was the “OG” photo of LeBron and Ranidel.
“Para ‘di makalimutan, muntikan ma-chasedown block ni @teamrdo si @kingjames,” Hontiveros wrote in his IG story.
Hontiveros even tagged TNT swingman RR Pogoy who was spotted in the photo.
Nothing like creating an iconic shot with LeBron that Filipino hoopers will remember forever.
