It’s safe to say that Gilas Pilipinas Women stalwart Jack Animam has fully recovered, both physically and mentally, from her ACL injury.

In her Instagram story, the 6-foot-5 Animam shared a video of her being able to hang on the rim during her workout with strength and conditioning coach Miguel Aytona.

This was apparently the first time she was able to do so—pre- and post-injury.

In late 2021, the Filipina center suffered an ACL injury during her time in the First Women's Basketball League of Serbia.

It was a long road to recovery for Animam, but she was nonetheless able to overcome all the hardships to recover and get ready for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, where Gilas Women bagged the silver medal.

Animam would also be a crucial piece in Gilas Womens’ 2023 FIBA Women's Asia Cup campaign, where the team put up a valiant effort against some of Asia’s top squads.

With this newfound hops, fans could possibly see Animam dunking on the court soon.

This, of course, should only bode well for Gilas Women as it aims to reach even greater heights in its upcoming tournaments.
