Fresh from a silver medal finish in the just-concluded Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia, Jack Animam, Afril Bernardino, Camille Clarin, Ella Fajardo, and Trina Guytingco graced the cover of the magazine, which will hit the shelves on Thursday (May 25).

Gilas Women has put the women’s game on the radar the past few years, winning back-to-back gold medals in the SEA Games in Manila and Hanoi.
Without a doubt, these female ballers under the tutelage of coach Patrick Aquino have made a world of difference in growing the women’s game here in basketball-crazy Philippines. They set the blueprint for aspiring cagers like Camille Nolasco, who is among those on the special cover of the maiden issue.
While the Philippines has become the golden standard in the region, women's basketball in Southeast Asia is only getting better. Expect Animam and company to up their game in response.
