The flamethrowing Fil-Am guard took to social media to give a message to Gilas fans.
Jordan Clarkson going en fuego wearing a Gilas jersey—just as he did versus China in the team’s lone FIBA World Cup victory—might just happen again.
In fact, the Utah Jazz guard’s pronouncements ever since point to a potential repeat performance. And, on Tuesday, Clarkson again said something to the same effect, this time on his Instagram.
Clarkson posted on Instagram a set of photos, mostly of himself, along with one picture of Clarkson with his Gilas brothers. The corresponding caption, meanwhile, ought to get fans all fired up themselves.
“World cup [heart emoji] love,” Clarkson wrote. “See y’all again.”
Take a look:
And, judging by his comment of three fire emojis, Gilas great Gabe Norwood sure seems fired up for the possibility of the 2021 NBA Sixth Man of Year donning that national team jersey once more—and potentially putting on a show similar to what he did against China.
Former PBA player JC Intal also chimed in with this short but sweet comment: “JC! PH”
Of course, JC representing the PH again is certainly no pipe dream. After all, he has already made it clear in a previous interview that the China game is not necessarily his last for Gilas.
“I got more time and still can hoop. I can’t even tell you what I’m eating in the morning. Hopefully, down the line, when that time comes around again, I might want to put this jersey on and represent the country,” he said.
Quoting Norwood, that happening would surely be fire.
