Norwood and Pessumal definitely know their NBA and FIBA stuff.
As former Gilas Pilipinas members show their support for the national team in the FIBA World Cup, some had to face a different type of challenge while in the venues.
Specifically, former Gilas great Gabe Norwood and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel sniper Von Pessumal were brought in by famous sports content creator Bebida Tailgate to answer some NBA and FIBA grid knowledge.
Pessumal, along with a fan, had to fill out a grid that featured New York Knicks and Los Angeles players who played for Germany or Spain and were either FIBA World Cup MVPs or NBA champions.
The Barangay Ginebra sharpshooter breezed through players who were German or Spanish and played for either the Lakers or Knicks.
Come the FIBA World Cup MVPs, though, Pessumal had to ask for clues.
The Ginebra guard and the fan took a while before the they got to answer who played for the Knicks and was a FIBA World Cup MVP—the answer to which might surprise you.
As for Norwood, the Gilas legend had to answer a FIBA grid on sports families that played for the Chicago Bulls, Lithuania, and Spain.
The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters forward also had to guess players who were teammates of LeBron James.
Norwood, like Pessumal, breezed in answering the FIBA grid, except for the last question, which featured a teammate of LeBron who is Spanish.
Let’s just say that you’re a real NBA fan if you know the answer Norwood gave.
While it has been a disappointing campaign for Gilas Pilipinas, fans and players have definitely enjoyed watching the games at the venues and enjoying the festivities that come with it.
