ECHO sweeps reigning champions Blacklist International to win the M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Orcas came out firing against Blacklist to come out on top with a forceful sweep in the best-of-seven match.

Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales was named Finals MVP.

BLCK, who beat ECHO in October 2022 to win the MPL Philippines title, suffered only its second defeat at the hands of the Orcas in the last five times they met.

ECHO’s world title win marks the third consecutive world championship for the Philippines, Blacklist won it all in M3, while Bren Esports took home the title in M2.

This year’s finale is also the second-straight time a Filipino squad went against fellow Pinoys. In the M3 edition, Blacklist won the crown after defeating ONIC Philippines in the grand finals.

Other countries have their work cut out for them if they want to end the Mobile Legends reign of the Philippines, especially with Manila hosting the M5 World Championship in December 2023.
