Esports personalities, organizations, and streamers from Honor of Kings (HOK), PUBG, DOTA2, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) showed support to the victims of the magnitude 6.9 earthquake in Cebu by sending donations.
Now that's what a support role looks like in real life.
Various personalities, organizations, and streamers from esports communities such as Honor of Kings (HOK), PUBG, DOTA2, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) showed plenty of support for the victims of the magnitude 6.9 earthquake in Cebu by sending donations.
The magnitude 6.9 earthquake on September 30 killed at least 75 people and injured 1,271, caused by the movement of the Bogo Bay Fault. Aftershocks continue, including a magnitude 5.8 tremor in Bogo, Cebu on the morning of October 13.
PUBG Mobile Philippines
The PUBG Mobile Philippines community came together to support victims of the magnitude 6.9 Cebu earthquake on September 30, 2025, through the Stream For a Cause For Cebu Earthquake Victims event.
Over three days, twelve online personalities and streamers rallied their fanbases to provide in-kind donations, including 1,000 cans of sardines, 1,000 cans of meatloaf, 1,000 packs of instant noodles, 500 bottles of 5-liter water, and 40 sacks of 25kg rice to affected areas in San Remigio, Cebu City.
"We’re very grateful to the PUBGM community for making the stream for a cause a success. Thank you to all our inaanaks who donated their time and resources. Your support for the game and your favorite content creators helped ensure that our kababayans in Cebu receive the aid they need," the PUBG Mobile Philippines said in a statement.
Honor of Kings (HOK)
The Honor of Kings Philippines community also held a three-day #HOKbayanihan charity stream to aid quake victims in Cebu.
Seventeen esports personalities and content creators, including Dogie, Yawi, H2WO, Renejay, Charess, Chano, Chippu, Mara Aquino, Butters, Sh1nboo, and Chantelle, took part in the event.
The in-kind donations collected were sent to the Municipality of Medellin and included 1,000 cans of sardines, 1,000 cans of meatloaf, 1,000 packs of instant noodles, 500 bottles of 5-liter water, and 40 sacks of 25kg rice.

DOTA2
Team Nemesis, primarily a DOTA2 squad, also stepped up to support Cebu victims in collaboration with CSTHS Batch 7 Volunteers. The organization donated Php 250,000 to aid families in Bogo City.
Volunteers distributed the donations on October 2, 2025, witnessing firsthand the urgent needs of affected residents.
"Today, what your organization gave is an answered prayer. What you gave is more than just money — it’s hope, comfort, and a reminder that in times of tragedy, kindness knows no boundaries. Seeing an esports organization step up for people in need shows how powerful compassion can be. From the bottom of our hearts, DAGHANG SALAMAT Team Nemesis!" wrote volunteer Kim Laijiah on Facebook.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)
MOONTON Games, the developer of MLBB, collaborated with their long-time partner foundation to deliver relief packs containing rice, canned goods, and other essentials to families in hardest-hit areas including Bogo City, San Remigio, Medellin, and Daangbantayan.
"With every relief pack we share, we hope families feel the warmth, care, and compassion that come with it. This is more than just providing aid, it’s also about reminding every Filipino that they are not alone, that a community stands with them through every hardship. As a gaming company, our purpose has always gone beyond the screen. We are a community bound by connection, empathy, and shared strength. And in times like these, that sense of unity matters more than ever," said Jose Chua, Jr., Brand Marketing Manager at MOONTON Games, in a statement.
