ONIC Philippines tipped their hats to defending champions Selangor Red Giants OG Esports, who sent the Super Family to the bronze medal match in the 2025 MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC).
Head Coach Anthony "YnoT" Senedrin and ONIC Philippines tipped their hats to Selangor Red Giants OG Esports following a closely contested loss in their MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025 semifinal showdown.
SRG denied an All-Filipino Grand Finals behind a tight 3-2 escape over the Super Family in their best-of-five showdown, moving one victory away from successfully defending their title with Team Liquid PH standing in their way.

This marked the first meeting between the two teams since the M6 World Championships, where ONIC PH eliminated Selangor in the quarterfinals en route to capturing the title.

But this time, the Malaysian-based squad exacted revenge to keep their title retention bid alive.
“They’re being aggressive in this game. During M6, we came out as the aggressors in most of our games. But this MSC, they did not take their foot off the gas pedal. They are constantly aggressive and don’t give you a chance to catch your breath,” Senedrin said in the post-game press conference.
He added: “You’ve got to give credit to SRG. They pulled off a win in a very well-played series.”
Much like Selangor, ONIC PH had to battle through the lower bracket to qualify for the knockout stage.
Both teams sent Group B leaders and undefeated squads, RRQ Hoshi and Team Spirit, to the sidelines in the quarterfinals before their narrow semifinal encounter.

“We expected it to be a tough series against SRG. They did very well, starting from the group stages of the tournament, even though they lost a game. We weren’t expecting it to be easy, and it really came down to which heroes were available during the series,” Senedrin noted.
However, it’s not the end of the road for ONIC PH as they aim for a podium finish against ONIC ID later at 4:00 p.m. (PH time).
