Gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas delivered perhaps his finest performance yet as ONIC Philippines knocks on the Grand Finals’ door of the 2025 MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC).
Gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas lived up to his "Gold Standard" nickname, propelling ONIC Philippines to a resounding 3-1 quarterfinal victory over Team Spirit that sent the Super Family to the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025 semifinals.
After a rocky start, Kelra delivered a series of virtuoso performances to secure his team's place in the Final Four.
Using Wanwan, the M6 Finals MVP posted a flawless 9-0-5 KDA, helping ONIC PH tie the series at one-game apiece.
Just as Team Spirit seemed poised to clinch Game 3 and regain control after a three-for-one exchange at the 29-minute mark, Kelra came up big in a critical moment.
Piloting Granger, he took down three enemy heroes, leading to a game-sealing five-for-three wipeout and giving the Super Family a 2-1 series lead.
Kelra saved the best for last, claiming two kills in a five-for-two battle during the 16th-minute teamfight in Game 4 before delivering a series-clinching Maniac two minutes later to seal the victory.
“Hindi pa talaga ito ‘yung talagang [best] performance ko. Mas mag-iimprove pa ‘yung performance ko sa mga susunod na laban,” the 20-year-old superstar said in the post-game press conference.
ONIC PH certainly hopes for the Kelra's best as the Super Family faces their toughest challenge yet in the form of defending champions Selangor Red Giants, who narrowly edged out RRQ Hoshi to keep their title defense alive.
With Team Liquid PH facing ONIC ID in the other semifinal bracket, the dream of an All-Filipino Grand Finals is still very much in play.
