BOOM Esports wasted no time in eliminating North America's Wildcard behind the Filipino trio of Armel, TIMS, and Jaunuel for a chance to advance in the playoffs of the FISSURE Universe Episode 4 Dota 2 tournament.

Boom Esports proved to be too much for Wildcard, taking a commanding 2-0 victory over the North America representatives in the FISSURE Universe Episode 4 Dota 2 Tournament.
Boom Esports was almost flawless in game one, led by Armel "Armel" Tabios' Leshrac at position 2, followed by aggressive plays from Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong and Sulia "JACKBOYS" Khoomphetsavong.
Game two saw no reprieve for Wildcard in a low scoring game, picking Terrorblade as offlane against a well-farmed Lifestealer from JACKBOYS.
Midlaner Armel amassed a game-high 21k damage to anchor team fights, with fellow Filipino teammates Timothy John "TIMS" Randrup and Januel "Januel" Arcilla providing the much needed sustain for the team.
With a 2-2 group stage record, Boom Esports is one series away from a chance to enter the tournament playoffs.
Before this series, Boom Esports sustained two losses from two-time The International (TI) champion Team Spirit and Serbian eSports team PARIVISION.
This was after Boom Esports scored a series victory against Russian-based BetBoom Team in the group stage opener.
Meanwhile, Talon Esports was overpowered by Aurora Gaming in the next series, 0-2.
Filipino hard support and team captain Carlos "Kuku" Palad was unable to lead the Southeast Asian team against their Serbian-based opponent after being outplayed for two straight games.
Talon now falls to a 1-3 record and will be unable to advance to the playoff stage of FISSURE Universe Episode 4.
