Top 4 teams emerge in PBA Esports Bakbakan 2023

The Final Four stage is set in the inaugural season of PBA Esports Bakbakan. After going through the grueling single round robin phase, the four teams with the best win-loss cards will engage in a best-of-three series in the semifinal round.

Atop the standings are the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, followed by the NorthPort Batang Pier and the TNT Tropang Giga.

Phoenix and Ginebra boast an identical 10-1 record, while NorthPort and TNT are neck and neck with each other as well, with both squads parading a 9-2 slate. All four franchises will enter the playoffs with great momentum, including NLEX who was the last group to complete the semis cast. The Road Warriors secured their spot in the postseason after winning their final two games.

Season 1 featured all 12 teams in the PBA competing in a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament. Each franchise has an eight-man crew consisting of two PBA cagers, two gaming influencers, one student, and three fans.

The Fuel Masters have definitely made the most out of their PBA Esports Draft seventh overall pick Reiniel “Honda Beast” Encisa as Phoenix soared all the way to the top of the leaderboard. Not to be outdone, Nazer “Akosi Dogie” Mollazehi was able to justify why Ginebra made him the first overall selection.

The last four teams standing will vie for a spot in the finale, which will be played under a best-of-five format. At stake is P1 million in cash prize, with 750,000 pesos going to the inaugural champs.
