The PNVF has named Tai Bundit as Alas Pilipinas Women's head coach, tasking the longtime Thai mentor with ending the country's SEA Games medal drought.
Alas Pilipinas Women will move forward under familiar leadership, with Thai tactician Tai Bundit officially appointed as its head coach.
The appointment was confirmed by Tonyboy Liao, who said the decision came after receiving final approval from the Philippine National Volleyball Federation board.
Bundit’s selection was backed by Jonathan Ng, whose long-standing working relationship with the Thai mentor factored into the process.

Bundit has coached in the Philippines for more than a decade and is no stranger to building winning programs locally.
He first arrived in the country 12 years ago and enjoyed a highly successful run with Ateneo De Manila University, steering the Blue Eagles to two UAAP championships during a five-season stretch.
Bundit later took the reins at Creamline Cool Smashers, guiding the franchise from 2017 to 2021 and helping establish it as one of the most dominant teams in PVL history.
More recently, Bundit has been at the helm of Criss Cross King Crunchers in Spikers’ Turf, where he added another championship to his resume.
Bundit now steps into the national team role following the exit of Jorge de Brito, with a clear mandate ahead. Chief among those goals is ending the Philippines’ 21-year medal drought in women’s volleyball at the Southeast Asian Games.
