Korea's campaign in the 2025 FIVB Men's World Championship has already ended after a four-set loss to Finland, but coach Issanaye Ramires still has plenty to cheer for.

He's just one of the many reasons the bond of "Brazilippines" stays alive in this competition.

Asked about the Asian contingent still fighting, such as the Philippines and Iran, Ramires was quick to share where his support lies.

"I'm really proud of the Philippine team also and how the fans pushed the Philippines team to win this match against Egypt. So we are here cheering for them," he told the media after the match.

After all, the Brazilian coach has a lot of countrymen in the Philippines. One of them is Sergio Veloso, the former head coach of the men's Philippine team. They worked together for 11 years in the same club in Brazil.

Ramires also knows Alas Pilipinas Women coach Jorge Souza de Brito very well.

"So I'm here to support you right now. I hope the Philippines keep going in the tournament," he said.
